Belluzo or not? Nokia CEO replaced by Spehen Elopin from Microsoft

After last years' pressure from Apple and Google on the smartphone segment, Nokia has replaced its CEO, the "last finnish man standing" Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, with canadian Stephen Elopin, the president of Business Division at Microsoft. Sad for Finland, as Nokia is consider the economical crown jewel here, projecting thus also the mental landscape of our moder nation and its successful rise from the 90's recession.

But what guarantees does Nokia have, that Stephen is Elopin but not a "Belluzo", a mole later to be found working for Microsofts benefit? From the Nokia point of view, this risk should be underlined in the financial rewards Elopin will get while working and after working at Nokia. Maybe this is not an issue, as Elopin has worked for other companies too, such as Juniper Networks, Adobe Systems and Macromedia until he joined Microsoft. But do remember, that if there has not been any current danger, that does not mean there would be no danger later. That's why the Nokia risk management should take this into account, especially in the long run. As a leader. Stephen seems to fill the bill in therms of the Nokia spirit; reportedly he has "big ears" and good charisma, combined with modesty. Personally I'm anxious to see what happens, when he puts the puck on the ice both here on the Nokia country Finland and across the Atlantic!
